About Me

Hi!  I'm Lianne :)  I have a husband, two kids, a dog, and a house to take care of.

Technically this is not my first recipe blog.  I started blogging recipes when I was on the HCG Protocol to lose weight.  Some of those recipes may end up here, since they are not just "diet" foods but meals and snacks my family and I continue to enjoy even when I'm not on the protocol.

I don't only make food that is HCG friendly, so this site will be a compilation of many types of food - some vegetarian, some sugar-free, some gluten-free, all DELICIOUS and not super complicated to make.  Many of our family's favorite recipes over the years will be posted here.  There's not one specific category to describe them all.

I'm not a foodie, I'm not a master chef, and I don't spend hours in the kitchen (unless I'm cooking in bulk).  I am a wife, mama, work-at-home super multitasker, and chocoholic.  I'm a regular person with decent cooking skills who strives to make healthy food for my family.

Some days are more successful than others.  Despite offering up tasty veggies and watching my little ones scarf them up as soon as they started eating solids, both of my kids later became what I would consider "picky" and I found myself sneaking veggies into their food without their knowledge.  I was ok with it, trusting that one day they would willingly choose to eat vegetables.  I continued to offer them straight up, modeled eating them myself, and though we are mostly past it, I still continue to puree them and hide them in foods I know they will eat to up their veggie consumption.  We never made food a battle in our house or used food as a bargaining chip.  It's fuel for our bodies, and sometimes tasty treats for fun. I am so happy to share that our strategy completely paid off and as our kids got older, they came back around to eating more variety. It is my hope that some of the recipes I've come up with that my kids like will also help others find interesting and healthy ways to feed their families.

If you try something here, please leave a comment!  I'd love to hear what you thought, what changes you made, whether your kids ate it, etc.  I want to hear from you!
